A best quality gun built in 1895 and apparently later fit with 410 barrels and the case it resides in. Both barrel sets fit up flawlessly with the same forearm. The action is tastefully scroll engraved (75%) with Alex Henry & Co banners forward on both side plates. Finish has grayed some with good color still showing over much of it. The top lever, safety, and trigger guard are blued. The dimensions measure 1 3/4", 3", with 13 1/2" LOP over a checkered butt. The brass plate on the bottom of the stock shows what appears to be a Pheonix with the initials H.S. The grip cap has a door, and shows traces of color. The wood is exquisite with dings and scratches throughout. The rifle barrels measure 19 5/8" and has good bores with one fixed and 4 folding rear sights marked 50, 100, 250, and 300 yds. The shot barrels measure 27 3/4", have 3" chambers, and are nitro proofed with bright bores. Chokes measure mod/full. This beauty weighs in at 6lbs 4ozs with the rifle barrels and 5lbs 3ozs in shot form. The case includes turn screws, cleaning rods for both barrels, an oil bottle, and snaps for the 410. This set is an antique and can be shipped to you if local laws permit. SOLD Rifle Caliber: .300 Sherwood Shotgun Gauge: .410 Gauge Manufacturer: Alex Henry Condition: Good |
