It has a 5 inch, 10 groove serrated top rib barrel, a six round fluted cylinder, a serrated ramp fixed front sight with red insert, a white outline square notch adjustable rear sight, a wide color case-hardened serrated curved trigger, a wide color case-hardened checkered hammer, 10 groove forestrap and backstrap, and smooth Goncalo commemorative grips with Smith and Wesson emblems. Approximately 4800 of these revolvers were manufactured in 1986 only. The bluing finish is in excellent condition, with some dulling to the right side of the frame, but with no scratches, marks or handling wear noticeable. The wood grips are in excellent condition no noticeable handling wear, nor chips, cracks or scratches noticeable.
