Winchester Model 54 chambered in .22 Hornet. This is a bolt-action rifle manufactured by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company. The 54 was the first successful production run civilian centerfire bolt action for Winchester. This Winchester Model 54 22 Hornet is in Excellent Condition. It has a Lyman aperture rear sight. This rifle was made in 1935. The .22 Hornet is a varminting, small-game hunting, survival and competition centerfire rifle cartridge commercially introduced in 1930. It is considerably more powerful than the rimfire .22 WMR and achieves higher velocity with a heavier bullet. .22 Hornet
