Description:
Listed is a nice Collectable Winchester Model 1892 SRC in the scarce 38-40 WCF caliber. This Carbine is original with a 20" barrel and magazine showing 95% bluing and a real clean mirror bore that I would rate a 9 out of 10; a very seldom seen bore in this caliber as someone took real good care of this carbine. The receiver and lever are a smooth plum brown patina appearance with case colors and bluing in protected areas. The carbine wood is walnut and is real solid with no splits or cracks and still showing factory varnish and fitting to metal is real proud. The buttstock has the carbine style metal buttplate and the saddle ring is still attached, a real nice piece of American Winchester History that was well taken care of in the past 110 years.
