Description:
First year 2nd generation Colt SAA .45 with 4 3/4" barrel. This Colt started life in 1956 as a 7.5" barrel .38 special (see Colt archive letter), and was later converted to .45 Colt. I sent the gun to Alan Harton of Single Action Services, Houston, TX, in August of this year for a trigger and action job (Mr. Harton is a well known and highly respected gunsmith specializing in single action Colts). Best of all, it's a 4-digit, first year, 2nd generation Colt (S/N 4434SA). The stocks are well-fitted, one-piece walnut. If you're looking for a solid, early 2nd generation shooter, with butter-smooth action and crisp trigger, this is your gun.
