Description:
This is a rare 1952 Springfield which has one of the last JLG/Ordnance Wheel Cartouches ever made. SN 4203119 has a 10-52 barrel and the military switched to the DOD cartouche around 4-53. The rifle was sold by the CMP in 2007. Proof of provenance is included. It was sold by the CMP as a Service Grade and is in excellent condition. The Muzzle Erosion is nearly non-existant and the metal, stock and handguards are beautiful. It is all correct save for the Gas Cylinder Plug marked NHC, a Internation Harvestor part. Since they were making parts for International at the time it is more than likely as issued. The hammer, bolt and other components show little wear.
