This Ulu is a traditional knife used and made by Alaskan Eskimos for the last 4000 years. Originally the blades were made of Jade, Slate or bone. Now they are made of Stainless Steel. The handle is made from Walrus oosik(penis) collected by eskimos on the arctic beaches after hundereds of years of natural weathering. This is from Alaska 1958
