Original Civil War Confederate Richmond Musket that screams being used by the South. This example is correct being an 1862 dated lock with an iron buttplate and iron triggerguard. This example was certainly there by the looks of it. It just gives off that historic feel. The stock is in solid condition showing dings, bruises, and handling marks. The barrel has been cleaned up a bit with pitting throughout, the breech portion still showing a nice dark patina. The lockplate shows an excellent patina as well as good readable markings. The buttplate and trigger guard are pitted. Mechanically excellent. Brass nosecap, iron buttplate. Missing the ram-rod. A true Confederacy used Richmond! Shipping is $60 plus actual insurance cost.
