I have a Colt SAA in 44/40 that letters from Colt directly to Winchester. The Colt is 1 or 10 that were shipped to Winchester beleving that this was part of Winchesters deaire to start production of a SAA or DA. The frame, trigger guard, cylinder, barrel and back strap butt all have matching numbers. The tought of having a Colt & Winchester in the same caliber would make life eaiser for the Cowboy or Outlaw! Included is the Colt letter and research/history on Colt and Winchesters unofficial agreement to stick to their own disciplines. Great piece of history.
