I'm selling my collection. An Antique Scarce Danish Krag-Jorgensen Model 1889 Military Infantry Carbine. Antique no FFL required. Unlike the Norwegian ad American Krags, the Danish one used a large barrel jacket akin to the German Gewehr 88, in order to float the barrel and theoretically improve accuracy. It was adopted in 1889 by the Danish Army to replace the Model 1867 Rolling Block rifle. Caliber is in 8mm x 58mmR and used a fixed side mounted 5 round magazine.19.1/2" shrouded barrel with a shinny bore with good rifling. Seial numbers barrel/receiver and bolt are matching. The original finish was left in the white grey brownish patina . Scratches and small dents on the wood from use, service & gun rack. I haven't shot it. What don't read in the description may be seen on the pictures. It was well kept and preserved.
