Fitted with a pistol grip wooden stock. This is the only Savage I have seen made up this way. This gun is on page 179 of Brower's Savage Book. Comes with a letter from Bailey Brower Jr, author, stating he acquired this gun from Michael Carney who was a well known gun dealer from the state of New York. Mr. Carney had purchased this pistol directly from Savage. Savage Historian Roe Clark told Mr. Carney there were only 3 or 4 prototypes like this gun. This pistol is in generally very good condition with a plum/brown color to the metal . Barrel is about 8 inches long. The wooden stock is in good condition. A very unique little pistol.
