This is a Spanish made double barrel that I have had at least 20 years, and have enjoyed. I've probably only put 3 boxes of shells through it since I've owned it, and I doubt the one before me put any more than that through it. I just love it's mass and the price is good for a double 10 gage with the 3 1/2" magnum chambers. I believe if you use copper plated Turkey shot (4 aught I believe it was) I believe it would kill a trurkey or a goose stone dead at 75 yards, if you did your part. I mostly shot crows with it. I am sending a new Pachmar pad with it that I never got fitted. The original is OK, but this one is better. I have only ever seen one of these 711s that was REALLY used by a water fowl guy. It was beat to death, but it still locked up like a bank vault like this one. It's just a lot of fun if you like the big guns and I do. However, my hunting days are coming to an end, and I'm ready to pass on the torch. When you fire 3 1/2" magnum through this fellow, you know you've shot a REAL gun, however it's still more managable recoil wise than a New England 10 single barrel, that's way too light. It's fun, and it's great to show off with. It's also a piece that you don't mind dragging through the brush, because it's not a Holland and Holland. How many people do you know that have a double 10 gage? So, basically by it and "one up" anyone you know at the shooting range!
