EXCEPTIONAL HUNTER ARMS CO. L.C. SMITH TRAP GRADE 12 GAUGE SHOTGUN WITH ORIGINAL CASE AND FACTORY LETTER CIRCA 1923. 30” barrels with 2 ¾” chambers and choked full and modified. Automatic ejectors and selective Hunter One Trigger. Engraved frame and side locks with “TRAP SHOOTING” panel scenes. Checkered walnut stock and forend with hard rubber butt plate. 14” pull. 1 ½”, 2 ½” drop. Weight 8 pounds. All original with approximately 98% blue and 90% case hardening colors. Wood with all the original finish. Perfect working order and brilliant bores. Excellent original leather leg-of-mutton case with brass plaque with original owner’s name. Inside lid with aluminum I.D. tag also with owner name “ED HOLTGREW” and his Kansas City, Kansas address. Factory records letter indicates it was shipped Oct. 12, 1923 to Kansas City dealers Schmelzer Company. Extra nice condition and would make a nice vintage sporting gun.
