1873!!!! one off Gastine Renette, Napoleons gunmaker considered one of the finest gunsmith of all times supposedly made this up for the 1873 Paris exposition featuring the unique fire, striking hammers that activate the striker firing mechanism midway of hammer very tight gun cocks like a precision instrument has been used not abused the barrels are thin And probably should use re-sleeving to bring it back to suitable condition,beautiful grained wood looks like it's growing out of the metal. It's It was speculated. there was rifle barrel insert on the right barrel see notch breach end proximately 3/16" square. anyways the barrels need work. I also have a 45 cal barrel liner for it ,I was going to have made up into a Cape gun in 450 BPE. Mainly because this gun is extra robust. It's got the Jones under lever and outrageous. French walnut stocks, very good condition very light marks. just needs to go to a good home somebody that knows what he wants and what he's doing.
