Send me email... Here is a rifle for a great price for serious game...for that Alaskan brown bear hunt...or for that 500 pound Oklahoma feral hog boar. Don't be afraid of the recoil. In the last photo, that's my Army Major daughter shooting the same caliber brother about a year ago. I find that one's muzzle brake did nothing to reduce recoil...which in both rifles is manageable. Don't be afraid of bullet cost. I'll throw in 20 pieces of brass if you're a reloader (which is the way to go with any Weatherby catridge). The one for sale, Mark V with synthetic stock is in super condition. Blued finish with 26" bbl. When I got it, it came with a bad scope… For the purpose of seeing if it would shoot well, I installed an old USA-made Bausch & Lomb Balvar 8b, 2 1/2X to 8X, did a laser boresight and then took it to my range (second from last pic). Several rounds were shot at a hanging plate target at 25 yards as I made some minor scope adjustments from the laser bore sighting. Then I shot two rounds and went two-for-two, hitting a hanging metal plate 5”X20”at 200 yards. The trigger breaks crisply as it should…no creep; my estimate is about 3 lbs. The scope does not come with the rifle. If you want it, add $100 which is cheaper than you’ll find it in most places, considering its great condition. I found recoil with this .340’s non-braked, 26” barrel manageable and so too the muzzle blast. If you’re a Mizzou rez, you can pick it up as I’m in the Kansas City, MO area. If not, I find that $70 about covers the shipping and insurance cost. More to Alaska and Hawaii…We can discuss… But sending it, I’ll need an FFL copy (that I will have to show the shipper) and payment, best by USPS money order. I’ll take a personal check, but it’ll have to clear. I trust if you have been looking for this specific rifle/caliber, you’ll appreciate that my price represents a truly fair deal for a lightly fired rifle in like-new condition. Look around… Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask…best my email. Rob Kornacki US Army (Retired) SOLD |
