Up for sale is a Colt Python manufactured in 1975. This revolver sports a blued finish and a 4" barrel.
This revolver has an excellent, very smooth double action trigger pull with a very light and crisp single action trigger pull. There is almost no rotational cylinder movement during lock up in this revolver. Passes a basic timing test with flying colors.
The biggest knocks against this revolver are that the crane retaining screw is slightly burred and the grip screw is fairly well corroded and swaged, and that it is overdue for a cleaning. The bore is shiny with strong rifling. There appears to be no defects in the chambers of the cylinder. There does not appear to be any gas jet cutting. This revolver looks to be just in gorgeous condition, cosmetically and mechanically. This Python exudes the excellent hand fit and finish that first generation Pythons were well-known for.
