Description:
Nice ++++ example that I am sure was a Yankee captured and brought home sword based on how nice this sword is. Grip is single iron wire over tarred linen grip wrap and outstanding without condition issues. The blade is nice and dry as discovered without oil added. Leave that to the next owner. Scabbard has all brass fittings with only a few minor sword scabbard dings from normal battle use. Brass fittings and hilt all uncleaned as found patina.
