This is an Ideal Pocket Closer for Brass and Paper shot shells manufactured by the Ideal Manufacturing Company in New Haven Connecticut. These were patented on June 14, 1887. This tool is in very good overall condition with 85% of the original black finish remaining. The mechanism works freely. A great vintage tool to use or for your collection.
