Description:
SOLD Nice 1886 45-90 with a 45-70 extra light barrel too. Both are very nice original Winchester blue and varnish that match up perfectly. Both also have excellent bores. The 24" OCT barrel 45-90 is fitted with a sporting front sight and buckhorn rear. The 22" round barrel 45-70 extra light is fitted with a Lyman #4 ivory bead front sight and low buckhorn rear sight. The hammer and lever show some case color,more in the protected area. The butt stock is fitted with hard rubber shotgun butt.The rifle letters as is with the 45-70 and 22" extra light , no mention of the second barrel, but thats not uncommon. More research can be done. This 86 came out of a gentlemens collection he's had for over 50 years and has shot both barrels several times. You 86 collectors know a take down barrel must be fitted to the rifle it goes with.
