Description:
It is hard to believe that Smith and Wesson has been around for more than 170 years. This 125th Anniversary Model 25 was released in 1977. The Model 25 was based upon the Model of 1917, a revolver developed for the military using .45ACP cartridges, common with the Colt 1911, and readily available in the military supply chain. The 1917 became known as the Target Model, and then renamed Model 25. This is made for target shooting with target type sights, trigger, and hammer. It has oversize target grips made of dark straight-grain hardwood. .45
