This Springfield Armory U.S. Model 1884 is a right hand trapdoor/breech loading action rifle in .45-70 Gov't. Cal. It has a 32.5 inch barrel. A blade front sight and a numbered sliding adjustable two position notch middle sight. The butt stock is a smooth grip hardwood straight grip. The forearm is a smooth grip hardwood. Serial Number 467075 (1889). .45-70 Government
