This revolver has matching numbers on the frame, cylinder, and extractor with the metal retaining 80-85% of the original nickel finish remaining. The nickel has flaked to plum-brown underlying metal along the front face of the cylinder and on the ejector rod, and there are spots of brown surface oxidation scattered throughout. All markings and edges are still sharp and crisp, and both the hammer and trigger have some muted color case-hardening remaining. The checkered hard rubber grips are numbered to the gun on the interior, and are in fine-near excellent shape with very little wear or flattening of the points evident. The revolver is accompanied by a 1981-dated S&W factory letter that lists a shipping date of December 14, 1898, to Hibbard, Spencer & Bartlett Co. of Chicago, IL. This is a neat looking early hand ejector, in very good-near fine condition, with a S&W factory letter. Antique SOLD Antique: Yes |
