Synopsis: MAS (St. Etienne), M1892, French Military Revolver, F57690, O-87, ANTIQUE Description: Superb French M1892 SA/DA Revolver, made by Mre D’Armes St. Etienne between 1892-1924 as replacement for the M1873, this phenomenal example, complete with period holster, manufactured in 1894. Standard 4.5” barrel fitted with fixed front and rear sights. The model and manufacturing date on the top and upper right barrel flat respectively. Manufacturer marking and full serial number on the right side of the frame. Inspector markings in usual locations. Fitted with checkered walnut grips, broadly bordered, secured with a single screw. Rotatable lanyard ring on butt. Complete with black period holster, stud closure, single belt loop on obverse surface, inked serial number and manufacturer logo inside flap. Condition: Incredible 99% bright original rust blue. Comparable condition straw with an occasional fleck of oxidation as photographed. Light grips with crisp checkering, minimal oil staining. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. VG holster with intact stitching.
