Description:
22 inch round barrel chambered in 45-70 caliber. A good bore that may clean up to be even better. Original sights. Metal is smooth with a gray/brown patina. Original saddle ring bar but the saddle ring is a replacement. Excellent mechanics. Wood has minor gaps where it meets the metal, and it is especially shy around the buttplate. Maybe the butt got too close to a fire at some point. Also a crack that extends forward from wood retaining spring. Overall a decent example of a desirable hard-to-find carbine. 450XXX serial number.
