FULL DELUXE 1876 2ND. MODEL, .45-75, FANCY WALNUT, PISTOL GRIP/CHECKERED, HALF-OCT./FULL MAG, CASE COLORED RECEIVER, WILL LETTER, #15XXX, SHIPPED 1881. This is a fine condition super rare 1876. the barrel and mag retain most of the original blue with only some very minor thinning and brown mixing from age. Exc. markings and sporting ladder rear sight with slide intact and small Winchester blade front sight. The receiver is mostly a mottled gray with case color in the most protected areas- around the hammer, behnd the side plate and in the extreme front on the sides and fine bright case color on the lower tang under the lever. The checkering on the forend and pistol grip is fairly sharp and excellent. The bottom of the pistol grip has the fancy ebony inlay. Good aged blue on the loading gate, original dust cover, tight action, strong safety half-cock, fine screw heads, lever catch intact, mellow brass lifter has no dents etc., bore is fine with good rifling all the way through with some light surface corrosion mostly midway that looks more like some minor leading that should brush out. Butt stock and forend show tight wood to metal fit with beautiful flame grain and color. An outstanding Winchester. Comes with a Cody Call-in sheet.
