Description:
The No. 9 Union Hill Rifles are nearly the same as the No.8 Union Hill rifles but made to conform to NRA competition rules with a single three pound trigger pull and weighing 9-3/4 pounds, effectively making them a plainer less costly version of the No. 6-1/2 Rigby. 30 inch part octagon barrel shows most all of the original blue with only a stray very light freckle or handling mark scattered here and there. Excellent bore is bright and shiny with strong rifling. Wind gauge globe front sight and a graduated vernier peep sight behind the hammer. Forged frame shows a range of somewhat faded case hardening colors. Large loop lever. Uncheckered walnut forearm and pistol grip butt stock features a cheekrest and nickel plated brass Swiss buttplate.
