Description:
.70-150 Winchester CF replica cartridge with a 750-grain bullet.  Developed and designed in 1888, the original .70-150 Winchester
cartridge only appeared on Winchester's cartridge boards as mock-up dummy rounds. The headstamp is “.70-150”. The bullet is a
hollow point. However, there were some cartridges made at Winchester that came out to the public. Folks claim that only one known
weapon was made of this caliber. The gun was a variant of the Winchester Model 1887 shotgun that featured a barrel rifling at the last
six inches forward of its bore.

OK now I will tell you the true story that can be verified with the Winchester Museum in Cody Wyoming. Winchester in 1888 made a
decision to compete with the European gun makers involved with African big game rifles. They decided to take a Model 1887 and modify
it. They made two guns. They took them out to the firing range to test them. The 1st one when shot blew up. They never fired the 2nd gun.
Today, the blown-up gun and the unfired gun are both at the Winchester Museum in Cody.

About 8 years ago there was an house in Tennesse that claimed that they had on and ed it off. I don’t know the hammer price,
but we do know that someone in Tennesse took and 1887 shotgun and stamped the barrel with .70-150-750. This gun was a reproduction and never made by Winchester.

The price is $175 plus $12.00 UPS shipping in the continental U.S.A.
