Description:
For sale is a beautiful GH 12 on a 1 frame with 30" Damascus barrels. it is serial number 142617. It has a 1/2 grip stock with length of pull of 14" and drops of 1-5/8" and 2-3/4". Bores measure .732" and chokes are .026" and .040". Chambers are 2-3/4". Bores are VERY good with just very light frosting in front of the chambers. the exterior barrel finish is excellent. Tons of case color and excellent original wood finish and checkering. This is a gun in great original condition. Lockup and function is 100%. Min Wall thickness measurements are .035" and .032" with those measurements being in the last 1/4 of the tubes before the choke.
The gun letters as ordered and built in 1907 by TW Tignors Sons in Richmond Virginia. Specs were choked Mod and Full. All other specifications match the letter. The gun was returned for credit in 1912. Assuming that the gun was not sold. it was then sold to Santa Fe Magazine in Chicago, IL to be sent to JL Boyd in Pt. Arthur, TX. The gun has the 1910 bolting plate. So my assumption was that it was upgraded after the gun was returned for credit and before re-sale. a copy of the PGCA letter is included with the sale.
It is hard to for a much nicer original Damascus GH!
