James Purdey & Sons 12 gauge auto-opening antique sidelock ejector fully in proof, complete set all original.
This is my preliminary listing for probably the nicest gun in my collection, an all original J. Purdey & Sons sidelock ejector made in 1892, auto-opening, complete in its original case with all accessories including extra mainsprings and firing pins, original paperwork, Purdey snap-caps and tools, Purdey chrome oil bottle, etc.
Virtually flawless. Original 28" barrels with outstanding wall thickness at 24,000th each. London nitro proofed. Appx. 15 & 3/8” LOP. Purdey's highest quality production from the height of its Victorian years.
I haven’t done my usual deep dive into its provenance, proof marks, and detailed description, but wanted to see if there is market interest. The photos speak for themselves
This is a pre-1898 firearm and qualifies as an antique with direct shipment to the purchaser. We are a U.S. military family stationed in the UK, and ship at an insured and flat rate of $150 because this package with the gun case is very heavy; usually takes about four weeks to arrive in the US. Online member since 2002 with 100% positive feedback.
