Savage model 99R in the hard to find 250-3000 Savage. Built in 1952, this rifle is in outstanding all original condition. It retains 99% of the original blue and wood finishes. The 99R combined the classic features of the older 99s with modern additions that made it a better hunting rifle for the modern hunter. Features include, factory drilled and tapped for scope mounting, factory drilled and tapped for peep sights, cocking indicator, standard open sights,lever safety, brass cartridge counter,factory installed sling swivels,steel buttplate,case colored lever,and hand checkered walnut stock and forend. There is something for everyone on this rifle.The 24"barrel has a mint bore with sharp rifling. The wood is sound with no cracks or damage. A classic 99R for shooter or collector.
