Description:
MARLIN MODEL 1893 RARE .25-36, OCTAGON RIFLE, #351XXX, MADE 1906. Fine deep original blue on 26" octagon barrel with excellent markings. Barrel has the original buckhorn rear sight with elevator bar intact and patent marked Rocky Mountain blade/bead front sight. Mag tube is an uncleaned brownish patina with some blue under the barrel section. Mottled gray/brown receiver with generally excellent screw heads and good blue on the loading gate. Fine stock and forend show only normal light handling with tight wood to metal fit. Strong hammer spring with solid safety half-cock on the hammer and tight action. Exc. sharp bore. Hard to find caliber that can be formed from .30-30 brass. This one recently came out of here in Montana.
