For your consideration, a Remington Rand M1911A1 pistol chambered in .45 ACP. This pistol is in remarkable, as-issued condition complete with original factory box and spare magazine still wrapped in grease paper. Notable markings consist of a lightly-struck crossed cannons on the right, rear frame and the FJA cipher of Inspector Lt. Col. Frank J Atwood at right beneath the slide stop. This example dates to 1945. .45 ACP
