Description:
This is an Auto-5 "humpback" Belgian made 20 gauge Magnum with a 28" full choke vent rib barrel made in 1969. It features recoil operation and has all of the correct rings and friction brakes with the diagram from the factory still present on the inside of the forearm. The barrel has only minor blue loss where the barrel recoiled along the forearm. The various brakes allow you to shoot 3" magnums or remove a set of the brakes and rings and shoot 2-3/4" light loads; which is what I did recently while shooting skeet. The receiver is tastefully scroll engraved by hand on the steel receiver. Later Japanese made guns were acid etched engraving. It has the factory length of pull at just over 14" to a plastic buttplate marked BROWNING with high luster glossy lacquer wood finish. The hand checkered stock and forend is walnut and the buttstock has a flat knob pistol grip, which started in 1967. The bore is bright and shiny. The gun is in very high condition showing only minor handling marks, especially on the forearm near the receiver. There is no gold loss on the trigger and no blue loss on the edges of the receiver.
