Description:
Purchased a few rifles and swords from a Revolutionary War reenactor including this Mutzig Arsenal Musket. There are many markings on the stock + lock ( 166 ) , stock is tiger striped , the barrel, the lock, the bands, the bayonet and barrel lug, the butt plate, of the 45 pictures I took I can only show what is possible to the . The Musket is fully functional and tight. Barrel is 40"
The lock appears to be xtra fine with a couple of batches of matching numbers. One of interest is C1866. I don't know of this. The barrel is soft blue with wide rifling in 69 calibe. The screws are marked 25, the bayonet is marked 23 I believe with other marks and bayonet fits nicely on the muzzel of the barrel. Stock bed is burned 166 which matches the number of the barrel. Again there are many numbers and marks, throughout this musket. If you need more info or pictures let me know. I am not educated in these early arsenal made muskets so look at the pictures . Im doing my best to reveal its history and I believe its a model 1822 but may be incorrect. Shipping will be through Fedex . Once sold and packed I will give the cost. With delivery confermation and insured. Connecticut sales tax is added to the sale on the rifle and shipping unfortunately. I do not ship outside the United States.
