Description:
IVER JOHNSON SKEETER 20 ga double barrel shotgun. This shotgun has numerous scratches primarily on the wood from use. None of the scratches are deep and the wood could be easily refinished. The stock and forearm are made of very nicely figured wood as many of the Skeeters were. A minor repair to the forearm to barrel latch mechanism by a previous owner has resulted in a slight gap at forearm to receiver junction. This has not altered the function in any way. The bores are lightly pitted butt probably could be polished out. The gun is all original with proper butt plate and grip cap. I have shot the gun numerous times and it functions well. It locks up tightly. The LOP is 14" and the barrels are 28" in length. The chokes are approximately Mod and Full. If not for this repair to the forearm latch and the numerous marks and wear, I would be asking much more for the gun. It would make a great restoration project.
