"The Dutch Model 1873/1919 model started life as Model 1873 (Old Model) 9.4mm caliber army revolver (See Military Firearms, 3rd Edition, page 251). It has been modified to fire tear gas projectiles. It remains chambered for the 9.4mm cartridge but with a 12mm smooth bore barrel which has been shortened to 1.9"". There is no front sight. This revolver is marked P. STEVENS over MAASTREICHT on the right side of the frame. All metal is smooth retaining approx. 80% of its original blue. The smooth wood grips are good with use dents and dings and a stress crack at the left grip screw. The action functions correctly.
