1930 Colt Pre-War Single Action Army chambered in 45LC with a 4.75 inch barrel and factory nickel finish per the included Colt archive letter it was shipped to Wolf & Klar in Fort Worth, Texas December 17, 1930. Wolf & Klar was a prominent retailer and wholesaler that was known for special ads including ivory and pearl grips as well as stencil engraving. This revolver wears a stunning set of Wold & Klar carved steerhead pearls with their signature ruby eyes. Although there were other dealers/wholesalers that enhanced grips on guns the only ones that I have ever seen with ruby eyes are from them. This is a collector grade gun. The numbers match on the frame, grip frame, and cylinder. The original factory nickel remains brilliant and mirror like throughout. There is a tiny spot of surface peeling on the loading gate that is very difficult to see. Outside of that you will only find some finance superficial hairs found on all older nickel guns. Overall the finish rates 99%. The cylinder face is completely clean with no signs of wear or use. All four clicks or crisp and the lock up is tight. The bore is bright and shiny with strong lands and grooves. The pearl's are exceptional throughout with a beautiful tricolor glow in them. This will be on the top shelf of even the most advanced 1st Gen. collection.
