This is from my private collection.
This is a Savage 99DL in .284 Winchester cartridge. The checkering pattern on this 1964 rifle was only available on the DL model fom late 1964 to early 1965, making it one you won't come across often. This rifle is in used condition, and it came to me with rash on the wood and metal, so decide for yourself whether it fits your needs. I'd just hunt it and not worry about it.
