Gun is sold pending receipt of funds. I have for sale a rather unusual Winchester Model 12 Trap. First off the serial number on this gun is 1968637 meaning it was made somewhere between 1964 and 1966 in the custom shop from left over pre 1964 model 12 parts. It is not a Y model gun since they started with a first number 2 in the serial number. From my research I have found that the took left over parts into the Winchester Custom Shop and used them to produce the last of the Model 12 made in America guns. As you can see in the attached photos it has been custom engraved and I cannot find any signature on the engraving although it is quite good with gold pointing dogs, Pheasants, Qual, and a rabbit. It even has engraing on the barrel wedges, and barrel hangar, along with the trigger guard. There is also an engraved Pigeon on the magazine tube but I have no way of knowing if this is a factory original Pigeon grade or if that was added by the engraver. Comparing the Pigeon to others I've seen on Model 12's I believe it to be original. Add this to the engine turned bolt and carrier, along with the delux checkering and beautiful wood and you have a very special gun. The barrel is 30 inches and has a bore of .735 and constriction of .035 giving it full choke as stamped on the barrel. Stock dimensions are 1 1/2 X 1 3/4 X 14 3/8 over the original Winchester pad. Condition of the gun is excellent with only a couple very small areas of bluing wear on the receiver. Price of the gun is $XXXX plus $50 shipping to your FFL. This gun will turn heads every time you take it to the trap line.
