For your consideration, a Colt Sauer Sporting Rifle chambered in .300 Weatherby Magnum. J.P. Sauer's model 80 was marketed in the US through Colt, resulting in the eponymous Colt Sauer rifles. These are known for their smooth cycling, short bolt travel, and 60° throw angle due to their flapper locking bolt lugs at the rear of the bolt. This example dates to 1976.
