Now here's an honest Colt Model 1860 Army. This is how they're most difficult to find. Nice dark patina with flashes of blue and case hardening in protected areas, crisp strong cylinder scene, and nice grips. You see a lot more high condition Armies then examples like this. This example surely saw use during the War. You can still see the cartouches present on either side of the grip. The cylinder scene is excellent. All visible serial numbers match. I have not disassembled this Colt further. Mechanically the gun works when it's being pointed in the downward position. When pointed up, the cylinder fails to rotate. Aside from that ultra minor issue, this example is excellent!
