The item for sale is a Merwin Hulbert antique revolver. This is a large frame Frontier model.chambered for the 44-40 cartridge. It features an open top, scooped flutes, single action, square butt, nickel plating and ivory grips. As less than 5% of Merwin Hulbert revolvers were blued this features the factory nickel. The revolver mechanically is excellent with a very good bore. The revolver was located and purchased in South Texas where it saw harsh conditions on the western frontier.
