Made by the Torino Arsenal in 1894 with a 31.5-inch barrel that is chambered for the 6.5x52mm rifle cartridge. Overall good condition with a light patina across all metal parts. The stock has an abundance of the kind of dents & dings one would expect out of a military service rifle that survived a couple of wars, but it is otherwise solid & serviceable. The original handguard was replaced during a service life extension program arsenal rebuild & the receiver is marked ""TUBATA"" which means that it was re-sleeved using the Salerno process during the same rebuild. Rear sight assembly can still be adjusted for battle sight & adjust sight range. Comes with a 16-inch Model 1891 bayonet in fair condition with metal scabbard. This is an overall good example of a World War I-era 1891 Carcano rifle. SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
