Description:
For sale is a seldom found, hand made, W W Greener FHS 20 single barrel "The Trap Gun" boxlock , from the Golden Age of American Trap Shooting, not to be confused with the Martini lever trap guns.  Few of these models were made and most were sent to the USA for trap shooters. A smaller number remained in the UK.  This Greener Trap is in excellent overall condition.   Checkered side panels and foreend checkering crisp.
Bore is very bright and devoid of any rust or pits. Extended beaver tail forearm with Deeley release in  very good condition. Receiver has scroll engraving of Pointer flushing pheasants on one side and Spaniel chasing ducks on the other.  Barrel bluing in excellent condition with a vented rib and front and mid rib white bead sights.  W W Greener Maker on one side at top of receiver, and 68 Haymarket London on the other.  Barrels are 32" with bright bores. This Greener is a Facile Princepts Grade FHS 20 as marked on tang.  Stock furniture is in very good condition with only a couple of very minor blemishes.  Single trigger.  The gun is very tight with top lever right of center.  Serial number 64344 made between 1913 and 1914.   Bore diameter .730. Choke constrictiion .035, Full.  DAH 1-15/16.  Drop at Comb 1-3/8.
