Description: * Price Reduced Again* Excellent condition Remington Model 51 380 acp manufactured in 1920. This little jewel of a handgun has a rich, very interesting, history and is highly collectible. From being General George S. Patton's first semi-automatic handgun, to being touted by W.H.B. Smith as "probably the best-balanced, most-instinctive-pointing pistol ever made" and quoted by R.K. Wilson “...in the opinion of many authorities, the best pocket self-loading pistol ever designed...”. The Remington 51 semi-auto concealed carry gun was introduced way before its time. This pistol fuctions beautifully and is in excellent condition. The action functions perfectly. The bore is clean, bright, and shiny. The bluing is greater than 95% with only light surface sctratches and a tad bit of muzzle wear,. The UMC black plastic grips are flawless as demonstrated by the attached pictures. As per many carry pistols of today, all of the edges are rounded allowing for quick, uninhibited presentation from concealed pockets or holsters. The gun will eat a wide variety of modern 380 ammo without issue. The gun is literally self pointing, an attribute derived from a significant amount of iterative design and input. This particular pistol is over 100 years old!
