Doesnt get much rarer than this. Original Colt Walker cylinder marked Company "B" and also serial number "6". Clearly the cylinder had been removed due to a common problem with this pistol, cracking cylinders, and had been replaced ages ago with another. Its in very good condition otherwise with very little pitting, obviuosly has been stashed away a very long time. Now the big question is, is Colt Walker number 6 still out there? From records known it is not, but it is possible to still be around, just not known to those who be, and with a replacement cylinder. This is the factory original. Also, with the scarce number KNOWN to exist, 27, that makes this a very rare piece. It is possible the pistol has been lost to history forever but this one peice is still here and would make for an extra special addition to one of the few owners of the 27. To have an extra original cylinder for display along with their pistol would be second to none. This has been looked over by a number of antique Colt collectors and gunsmiths who specialize in Colts and all agree it is not a reproduction. Heres a chance to own a true peice of legendary history.
