Description:
Springfield M1 Garand 'service grade' with 24" barrel, chambered in .30-06. Barrel date and receiver serial number both put it at a 1954.
One owner, purchased from the CMP in 2006. Only about 3 bandoliers (144rds) of Greek HXP Garand ammo through it since new.
Circle P stock with 'SHM' and 'GAW' double stamp. 'NM' front sight is as the owner received it from the CMP and was not added after purchase.
Metal has a nice aged 'green park' patina to it with some thinning on the high points, see pictures. Barrel breech face is in the 'white'.
Throat erosion measures to a 2, muzzle wear to a 1, see pictures. Bore is in great shape, shiny with sharp rifling.
WRA marked trigger group/guard with Springfield marked hammer, see pictures.
