Description:
Jules La Bantchni was a custom gun maker active in southern California from the 1930s through the 1980s and was considered one of the finest custom gun and stock makers of his generation. PO Ackley described him as "one of the best stock makers in the United States." For more information Jules La Bantchni, see ://grayssportingjournal/remembrance-of-rifles-past/3/ This Jules La Bantchni Custom has a beautiful walnut stock with fine checkering in the fore end and pistol grip. The butt plate and pistol grip cap are made of horn. The bolt knob has fine checkering. The wood is in excellent condition with only minor dings in the stock. The bore is bright, and the metal is excellent except for some light loss of bluing and pitting at the end of the barrel. See photos. .270 Winchester
