This is a handsome revolver that has matching numbers on the frame, barrel, cylinder, yoke, and extractor, with the metal retaining 95-97% of the original blue finish that has some silvering at the muzzle, on the high edges and projections, as well as a turn-ring on the cylinder. The hammer and trigger retain a commensurate amount of the original color case-hardening, with some silvering along the edges and contact points. The original checkered, diamond-center grips are pencil-numbered to the gun on the interior, and are in very good plus condition, with some flattening of the points, and some minor impact marks on the butt. The lock-up is tight, and the action is fully functional. The revolver is accompanied by a 2021 dated S&W Historical Foundation letter that lists a ship date of March 4, 1918, to the George Tritch Hardware Co. of Denver, CO. This is a splendid looking S&W, and is in fine-near excellent condition. FFL or C&R SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
