Description:
.577 caliber, 22" barrel with the Army & Navy ledged engraved on top. Engraved Snider commercial action with island lock and hammer. Checkered walnut stock with iron mounts and steel ramrod. Tangent rear sight. Very good quality with most of the metal parts engraved. Mechanically excellent and minty bore. The barrel showing a smooth brown patina, the remaining metal surfaces a gunmetal gray. Nice wood with some handling marks and evidence of use. This is a very pleasing carbine overall and of the type purchased by officers and British Gvmt employees heading for India and Africa.
